“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there…”-Rumi
Welcome. I’m glad you are here.
I offer a compassionate and intelligent presence and an understanding and non-judgmental space on your journey toward discovery of your own truth, full self-acceptance, and becoming the whole person you aspire to be. I listen closely, try to see the whole situation, and from your perspective then give honest caring feedback. I am an advocate for your health and wholeness.
Practice Philosophy:
I bring with me years of therapeutic experience with children, adolescents, adults, at-risk youth, incarcerated young people, 12-Steppers, and men and women with addiction and other issues. My clinical experience has taught me that people struggle with many of the same things: trauma, anxiety, depression, boundaries, trust, self-esteem, etc., and that we all need trusted confidantes who see and accept us exactly as we are, caring witnesses who can see the world through our lens, wise collaborators who will help us to explore issues from many sides, and strong advocates who will empathize with us as we make our own mistakes, and celebrate with us as we learn and grow and heal through this process. I aspires to fulfill as many of these roles for my clients as possible.
My approach is eclectic. It makes room for all parts of you (mental, emotional, social, psychological, spiritual, physical, cultural, etc.) to be present, considered, nurtured, supported, and honored. I am trained in a range of therapeutic methods, including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), Psychosynthesis and Psychodrama, to name a few. I use them as needed to help you to develop greater self-intimacy and break through mental, psychological, and emotional blocks to achieve your goals and live your life in fullness.

Q & A
Do you Accept insurance?
Yes!
Kaiser Permanente
Dr. Foster is currently in-network with Kaiser. Before scheduling psychotherapy or assessment/evaluation services with us, all clients need a verified external referral from Kaiser after their screening. Please contact your Kaiser clinic for processing. If you do not have the referral, Kaiser will not reimburse your fees. If you have an older referral, we advise you to call the clinic to confirm it is still valid.
Dr. Foster is an out-of-network provider for all other insurance companies. If you use our services, you will be expected to pay the full fee yourself. We offer you Superbill receipts for the service you receive from us, and you can submit them to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Most insurance companies may cover part of the fee (50-80% typically) for out-of-network providers like us.
